Blog Hop .... What's black, white, and red all over???
It's once again time for the Clear Dollar Stamps Monthly Blog Hop! Hopefully, you came here from Barb's wonderful blog. If you just happened upon my blog today, please enjoy my submission for our hop. And, after you've commented (there's a chance for a prize!!!), head over to Clearly iStamp to see the list and get started on this great blog hop!
So .... what's black, white, and red all over? I thought about a zebra with a rash or ... yeah, never mind. :) Here's what I came up with.....
A little distressing helped give the main image a little more interesting.
I used some distressing to give a little texture, as well as the grunge board embossed heart and key, lace ribbon, and crochet flowers.
Card Recipe -
stamps - John 3:16 Valentine
paper - cherry go round, black, white
ink - black
accessories - lace, nesties, cuttlebug, crocheted flowers (handmade), ribbon, grungeboard (heart, key), Vagabond, embossing folder, pearls, pop dots
Please, leave a comment while you're here, and when you're finished, head over to Tameko's blog to see her amazing work. If you need to start back at the beginning, make your way to Clearly iStamp. You'll also find all of the details for the blog hop prizes over there. The more you comment, the more chances you have to win!! :)
*** Special Note .....
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven."
Today is bittersweet for me. This is my last post as a member of the Clear Dollar Stamps' design team. The Lord has some amazing things on the horizon for me, and I'm excited about each and every one. Removing the design team work from my life is not what I want, but it IS what He wants.
This team has been an amazing source of inspiration, encouragement, and joy. I am SO blessed to have had this opportunity for almost 2 years. The team has been comprised by some of the most amazing, beautiful people in the crafting world. To each of you, I say "thank you ..... Thank you for your tolerance of my lack of skills and talent. Thank you for your encouragement along the way. Thank you for the amazing inspiration you've given me, and thank you for the blessing of your beautiful friendships."
Enjoy this wonderful Sunday and have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!

Clearly Inspired ... by Shapes!
Clearly Inspired Challenge #46 kicks off today. The challenge this week is to create a shaped card. Yes .... squares and rectangles are shapes, too, but I don't think that's exactly what Cassie was talking about when she put that challenge out there. ;)
I, recently, saw an adorable flower card, and that card inspired me to do today's card.
I, recently, saw an adorable flower card, and that card inspired me to do today's card.
I have always loved this frog set. I added flowers from All About Spring and the birthday sentiment from Birthday Wishes.
The finished card. :) I chose happy, bright colors for this birthday card. Along with being inspired by the challenge and the flower card, I was inspired by the very special friend for whom I made the card. Her birthday is TODAY!! Happy birthday, Diane!!!!
Card Recipe -
stamps - Hoppy Frogs, Birthday Wishes, All About Spring
paper - dp, bubble gum, saffron, white
ink - black, white
copics - B00, G85, YG03, YG06, G94, G99, C3, YR61, RV04, 0
accessories - Cricut, scal, Vagabond, folder, doily, circle punches, crystals, pop dots
The inside of my card.

Marker Challenge
Another day, another challenge card to share. :)
Today, the challenge came from 365 Cards. We were to use markers on our project. Ooooh, how I love my Copics!!
The precious little toucan in this set. Don't you love him?? I sure do enjoy coloring him.... although, every time I color him, I have to search on toucan images to figure out how he's suppose to look. :)
This wonderful sentiment came from a different set - an old stamp of the month set that, I believe, is now retired. Such a great sentiment to go with this toucan, though.
This is a little 4.25 x 4.25 sized card. It works great with the image and embellies.

Don't forget the blog hop on February 19th! :)
I hope your Tuesday went fantabulously and that you have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!!!

CAS Challenge Monday
What a great week for challenges!! Just about everyone out there has a challenge revolving around hearts, love, and/or Valentine's. :) Super fun stuff.
A close up of the little button and the super sweet stamp.
The heart cut out. The picture was found on the internet, converted to an .scut file, and cut on my Cricut. A shadow was also cut for this heart - the Berry Blast layer under the dp. Using pop dots gave this die cut a little more dimension. :)
Here's my finished card. It has a CAS style, but with a couple of different elements.

Clearly Inspired Challenge - Color Challenge
Oooooh!! A color challenge! The Clearly Inspired Challenge is to create a project with pink, purple, green, and white. How wonderfully fun! Those are not colors that I would typically put together, so this was a fun challenge for me.
I focused my card around faith. :)
The background is stamped with Faith and a small cross. The pink and green were both embossed with a Sizzix folder in the Vagabond. Wow .. such deep impressions and beautiful embossing. LOVE it.
Card Recipe -
stamps - mini verses, faith, for our lord
paper - sweet cheeks, cotton candy, spring leaf
ink - frost versamark, black, lavender, white
accessories - vagabond, embossing folder, cuttlebug, nesties, edge punch, ribbons, cross charm, pearls, sponge dauber, butterflies, pop dots
Join us over at Clearly iStamp for this super fun challenge!!!
Have a beautiful Friday and a great, big, beautiful tomorrow.
