More creating
Created a little more last night. I made 4 variations on this card. I made three 'feel better' cards and one 'thank you' card. I know .... the bug doesn't have his/her antennae, but it still works, I think. These are the first cards that I've made with my precious new Little Lady set (received from my QSS!!!!!) by Papertrey. I used Primas and silver brads for the centers. All 4 cards had the same base and all had Primas. One card had an iridescent pink bug with silver spots, two had red bugs with black dots, and one had a blue bug with silver dots. These cards were too much fun to make! I sure hope the recipients enjoy having them as much as I enjoyed making them.
Happy Stampin'!
More QSS Fun
Another goody that I put into my QSS package was a Crayon Resist Technique Kit. My QSS mentioned that she wanted to try that technique, but didn't have all of the supplies. So, I made a topper using that tech, and put glossy paper, 2 stamps, wax crayons, and a dauber into a cello bag. I was pretty proud of the way this came out. This would be a great gift to a beginning stamper or someone that wanted to try a new technique.
I also made my QSS a journal. Our theme was rainbows, so I used paper that reminded me of rainbows to create this one. I used the CTMH ladybug stamp set to stamp the focal image and covered a few of his spots in Stickles - purple of course!! I stamped Friends, and used the WWC to color the letters. A piece of white grosgrain ribbon goes down the seam for a more finished look. Oh ... the patterned paper is from DCWV. Love that stuff. The lines were nice and glittery!!!
This box was altered with DCWV paper (the top matches the journal) and some fun ribbon. I cute the little flower with the Cricut using that great paper. The "S" was for her first name and came in a scrapping kit that I got on sale one day. It's chipboard and matched the color in the paper sooooo well. The box was filled with embellies and fun stuff.
I sure hope she liked her goodies. I really enjoyed making them and creating around the theme. It was a great, great, great QSS round. Here's the stack of everything I sent her.
Even the kids got to play this time. Here's Jonah with his stack of goodies from his swap ....
He had a BLAST creating for his pal and a BLAST receiving from his other pal! He was so thrilled with Brooke and all she did for him.

I'm back
Wow. It has really been a busy month. We still have 2 sick kids here, but things are calming down a little .... maybe.
We had our Quacker secret sister reveal last night. It was TOO much fun! I can share what I created for my QSS now.
We were required to make something 'touchy/feely' for our pal. The duck is flocked and the waves are bumpy - thanks to heated pearls. I added the rainbow handle/holder since our theme was 'rainbows.' The duck, clouds, and waves were cut using the Cricut. The duck was on the New Arrival cart, and the clouds and waves are on the Zooballoo cart (my favorite!!!!).

Really ... I am
Really!!! I AM creating these days. I just can't share my creations yet. I've been making things for my Quacker Secret Sister, and once I got my mojo back, I have been having a blast! I will try to post the creations tomorrow or Saturday. Our reveal date is on August 22!! I can't wait - but I do need to get it all done and mailed.....
I went to check the temp outside today. The thermometer that is out in the sun said 106 .... the one in the shade said 107!!! Yikes. That's HOT. The pool was 91. I think that's almost bath water, isn't it??
I've been working on the church website, too, trying to get it more presentable and appealing. I'd love to know what you guys think. Check it out at First Baptist Church. Please let me know what you think and what improvements would be appropriate. Since we're looking for a new pastor - don't EVEN ask about the last one - we'd like to have a very up-to-date and informative site.
Please stay cool and have an awesome weekend. I will try to post my creations at some point this weekend.

Up for the Challenge
I needed to make a few cards for this month (10, actually - Yikes!!), so I chose to use a couple of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges for these. I have really enjoyed these challenges. I hope to do more before the upload deadline on the 22nd.
The first one was a bit more of a challenge than I thought it was going to be. It was Juliehrr's challenge. Hopefully, this fits the challenge. I used whisper white for a card base and made the layers and flowers with watercolor crayons.
The next one was a little easier. I did Jen Balcer's challenge. I did this card for a birthday party that Jaydin is attending tomorrow. The birthday girl is 2! Happy Birthday, Madelin!! Anyway, I thought this was a cheerful, fun combination for her. I used Eggplant Envy (I know ... it's retired) for the base layer. I also used white, orange and turquoise. I used orange, pink, and turquoise ink. I put the ink directly on the white around the words.
Tomorrow, we have family coming to help us celebrate Mark's birthday. We will have a great time celebrating and playing. I'm looking forward to the pool!!!
Sunday, is our church council meeting. I'm praying that some wonderful things come from that meeting. Our church is going through some tough stuff - due to some terribly unChristian ministers - but the Lord will prevail and our church will be refreshed. I think the Lord is 'weeding out' some of the folks that hinder His work. I can't wait to see what He has planned for us!!!
Until next time ...... Happy Stamping!!
