Yes,
yes. I'm well aware of the correct spelling of the word. In fact, the
misspelling of the word drives me nuts, but at this time of year, I suppose we
should just all give in and let it go. So many graduations going on. And this
year, most of the ones I know about are college graduations. Wow... Can 'my'
kids be that old!?
We
have a graduation party to attend on Sunday, and it's for a precious, young lady
that graduated high school the same year my older son did. I can't believe
she's old enough to graduate college.
I
made her card today. I have moved my Copics down to my bedroom so that I can
color when I'm resting my knee. So, I printed off this cute little graduate, colored her, and created a card. I thought she was really appropriate for a female college graduate.
For whatever reason, many of the graduates I'm hearing about have school colors of blue and yellow. So, most of my graduation gowns are being colored blue. I will say that it's easier to color blue than black! :)
I added baker's twine to two of the corners and made a little bow in one of the corners. The yellow went well with the graduates accents.
The background layer is a white piece of cs put into an inked embossing folder and put through the Vagabond. Then, the edge was cut from a Spellbinders' die and cut to fit the edge of the image layer.
I hope my sweet friend likes her card. I'm very proud of her! :)
More coloring this week, I'm sure ..... surgery on Wednesday. Surely, I'll have some time to color while recuperating ... right???? :)
I hope all of you have a wonderful Sunday and a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!!
