Cricut Criss Cross

I've not felt much like creating, but I knew that I had to get a couple of cards done for this week. My son's 17th birthday is Monday, and that card needed to be done today since we have church tomorrow. That card is made and sealed, so I can't share it.

We have a deacon family child that has a birthday on Saturday, so that card needs to get sent out by Wednesday. Our monthly Quacker challenges gave me some inspiration for that card. Here is the challenge card, though.

This card is done all in Bold Brights (the challenge was to do a card using only one color family and a neutral) and the set Bugs and Wishes. Only Orange, Real Red, and Tempting Turquoise papers were used along with Whisper White. Tempting Turquoise brads were used to embellish the sides. The little lady bug from the SU set was stamped in Only Orange on the orange background.

The Cricut is perfect for helping to cut cards with more complicated cuts or with many parts. Why not use it to create a Criss Cross card as explained on SCS. This one is not embellished at all, but ALL of the parts were cut from the Cricut. I'm excited that I will be able to get my bug to do all of the work, and in the future, I can just debate how I want to decorate and embellish these fun cards. On this one, I used Basic Black, Whisper White, and SU designer paper. Taffeta ribbon is used as the pull. The inside is stamped lightly with Simply Said.

More later this week! Hope you sleep well, dream big, laugh often, smile much, pray incessantly, and have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!!!
